Tenants Contents - Eligibility

Eligibility

Our Tenants Contents policy provides tenants protection for their possessions. To be eligible to take out our Tenants Contents policy, all we ask is that:

  • Your client is at least 18 years of age and neither they, nor anyone to be insured under the policy, have any unspent convictions or prosecutions pending (other than motoring convictions)
  • Neither your client, nor anyone to be insured under the policy, have had insurance cancelled declined, voided or had special terms imposed as a result of non-disclosure of information, fraud or misrepresentation
  • The property being rented will not be left unoccupied for more than 60 days in a row and won't be used for business or professional purposes.

We want to let you know...

As with all insurance policies there are circumstances when cover can't be offered or a claim paid. For example, where previous insurance has been cancelled, declined, declared void or terms imposed, any claim relating to loss or damage after the home has been left unoccupied, and money or credit cards held in the home for business, trade or professional purposes and any accidental damage caused by pets.

These are only examples. For full details of what's covered and what's not covered please read our Tenants Contents policy booklet. Alternatively you can find further information in our Insurance Product Information Document for Tenants Contents.
